This is the QRP section
I enjoy building and tuning my own rigs but have done a few for other folks. Also have built a few antenna's along the way. I now only have a Mosley TA-33 and a 80 meter loop skywire to operate with. I fount the 80 meter loop works so well on 40 meters and wouldn't do it any other way. As most of us know a good ground system is a must for any vertical but with a yagi and a loop you can't go wrong.
My first QRP rig is a old Heathkit HW-7 which did not work at all when I bought it. The second HW-7 I found at a Dayton hamfest for ten buks and it didn't work at all either. After fooling around with them and replacing a few bad parts they both yielded many contacts through the years
I have also built a few OHR rigs through the years and they are very fine rigs as well. My first was a dual band classic followed by a 30mtr sprint and the last one I built was one of Dicks first OHR-100's for 15 meters.
I'll have to say that my Sierra is one heck of a radio. I wish I had a picture of it but you can see a little of it on the enclosures page.
