Johnson Messenger 250 23 Channel Base - 50th Year Aniversary Model. In average condition. Has heavy wear on front panel on lower right (see pictures). Also has some oxidation on lower front bezel. Case is fairly nice some scratches and scuffing. Completely transistorized circuitry. Built-in electronic speech compressor. Built-in PA system. Mechanical filter automatic noise limiting circuitry. Built-in dual power supply operated from 117 Volts AC or 12 volts DC. Illuminated S/RF meter. Transmits and receives well. Frequency checked on counter and found to be in tolerance on all channels. Good audio reports. Keys under legal amnount and has good forward modulation. A good talker that will become a Collector Piece, built in the 50th year of E.F. Johnson
Squelch Control also doubles as PA switch when pulled out.
Volume Control includes ON/OFF Switch.
Combination S-Meter/Power Out Meter; large and easy to read.
The lower right-hand side of the front panel has wear, there is some oxidation on the front trim
Weight 15 pounds unboxed. Has a nice 3-wire AC power cord with 3-pin plug that has not suffered amputation of the ground pin. Comes with stock Hand Microphone, Microphone hanger bracket and mounting screws. Johnson Logo plate is missing on microphone.
