Rocket man
Now, you may be asking yourself who in their right mind would do such a
thing as attach a rocket motor to some styrofoam Wall Mart Special Glider.
Well, no one here ( has a mind ) that's for sure.
These pics will take a few seconds to load but well worth it. A word to
the wise. Never, Never let your kids play with caffeine because they to
may damage their toys!
Oh yea. The people in charge here. Uh, no one was actually
left in charge, though Milton Tucker(KC4QLQ)
was there. Jeff Madre (N4ZWQ) was there.
Fred Hart (KF4BJE) was there. Keith
Schriner was there. I think Doug
Evans (KN4QE) drove in later that night. and we invited a new member
into the picture, Dave last name unknown but here is his callsign!, (KL0BG.)
See Milton as he takes that first step for man kind walking to the launch
pad.
After we found some batteries and we hooked up the controls the right way,
it was not long before the glider looked like this.
I may need to add that our best work was done sometime after Midnight.
Well, who could see a glider at night. We couldn't but not a problem with
some good ole chem lites....
OH but that's not all. After we ran out of gliders and Hot dogs (OOPs,
that's another story), We decided to find the two liter bottle and take
coke to new hights.
Ok, we have Fred, Keith, Jeff, Uh Milton, and Me Darmie.
You could call this shot "Man with his Machine??"
Ok so that wasn't a good idea after all.
