In order to respond to an emergency, first we must know what kind of situation we are facing and then we need to determine the frequencies we will be using.  First, as long as they are available we will be using these local repeaters.

  1.     147.090 - RACES administration - pipeline to MEMA and some adjoining counties. 
  2.     146.940 - Local RACES and primary channel
  3.     147.375 - RACES resource net - check in here for assignment elsewhere.
  4.     447.975 - RACES Administrative, if needed.

Simplex frequencies reserved for special purposes   

  1.     146.430 - Washington County intercom - registered with T-MARC as our official simplex frequency
  2.     146.580 - Frederick County intercom - registered with T-MARC as their official simplex frequency
  3.     146.520 - Allegany County intercom -

Other simplex frequencies available

  1.     146.565
  2.     146.535

Packet frequency (When operable)

    145.750

RACES HF Frequencies:  80 meters 3.950 MHz LSB and on 40 meters 7.250 LSB (a 60 meter frequency may be apporved at a later date.

ARES HF Frequency 3.820 MHz - or present location of the Maryland Emergency Phone Net (MEPN).
