Burnside Bridge Antietam Battlefield




Present Alert Status

For years the Department of Frie and Emergency Services has been working with other agencies to establish a communicatons system that facilitates the interoperability of all of the jurisditctions interoperability capibilities.   In keeping with this a new 9-1-1 system is being installed old transmission sites are being up-graded and   new transmission sites are being estabished.

The information posted on this site is not "official."  It has been culled from many diffeent sources.

 

At this time the sites being developed are:

1 Sideling Hill      
2 Hancock New Site - Install new equipment shelter and antennas    
3 Fairview Mountian Install new equipment shelter and antennas This is on the transmission site of the MPTV.  Site of our 146.94 Repeater
4 Williamsport New Site Site of new EOC RACES will operate from here.
5 Sharpsburg New Site - Utilize water tower    
6 Keep Tryst Road New Site - Install new equipment shelter and antennas (not fully approved as we understand it)  
7 Hagerstown 1      
8 Hagerstown 2 New Site    
9 Lower South Mountain      
10 Quirauk Mountain Purchase new site and move from Federal installation to new equipment shelter and antennas   May require the relocation of our 147.09 repeater from the "Site C" antenna and building to the new facilityy
