All amateurs and those interested in ham radio are welcome at club meetings and events.

The Hidden Valleys Amateur Radio Club is a small friendly club located in the hills and valleys of southwestern Wisconsin. Our members participate in Field Day, Wisconsin QSO parties, local community service activities, and also offer ham licensing classes. Many of us are trained storm spotters, some have CPR, and a few have multiple Red Cross certifications.

Our club meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30PM in the Alliant Energy building on the north edge of Mineral Point, Wisconsin. We have a weekly Sunday night net meeting at 7:30 PM on the Hollandale repeater (146.655-tone 123.0). All checkins are welcom.

A two meter Simplex net is held the third Saturday of every month at 7:00 PM on 146.580. The NCS is Shawn KC9KOP, Shawn is located in Richland Center WI. Its a good chance to test out how well your 2 meter set up works without using a repeater. Hope to hear you on the net.

Henry got home last Thursday. Doing well but moving slow. He starts cardiac rehab next week. Glad he's back in the neighborhood. . . . . . . We Wish him well.

Just a reminder to all. Saturday Oct. 4th is the 2008 SET. It is to be somewhere between 0900 and 1200 local time. There will be an HF net on 3985 or 3977.5 OR both. The idea from the state level is to test our activation plan which would lead one to believe they intend the event to not be TO planned. Anyway if you will be around to help with this on Saturday please send Dana KC9KOQ an email to let him know who will be around. We would like to activate all three county hospitals for this, Platteville - Lancaster - Boscobel. Let Dana know if you can help and where you will be able to deploy...
