The Mercer County Amateur Radio Group, KC9EHE, was founded on May 15, 2003, in Mercer County, Illinois. Our main objective is, "To increase emergency preparedness and awareness in our communities." We are here to serve the emergency communication needs of Mercer County, Illinois, and any surrounding counites needing assistance in events such as severe weather, blackouts, natural disasters, terrorism, or other emergencies.

We also assist Amateur Radio Operators in our area, and those wishing to become hams.

We meet every month, at the Viola Village Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Next meeting:  Sunday, August 7, 4:30pm

Weekly Net: Every Sunday, now on 145.200 simplex, at 8:30pm

Severe Weather nets will be held on the 146.88- repeater, in Eldridge.
If the channel becomes crowded, we will move to 145.200 simplex.
