Tektronix 549

I picked this oscilloscope up at a surplus equipment sale. Despite the "property of" inventory control stickers, it is, to the best of my knowledge, legally mine.

Besides, I've always wanted a real, official piece of NASA equipment. Haven't you?

I checked the sweep before I bought the thing - always do when buying an oscilloscope! A scope that won't sweep is of limited use, unless you're gutting it for parts. (while that is a fine and noble reason to buy things, I actually needed an oscilloscope.)

$25 without probes. The probes will cost at least that much... each... if I buy cheap ones, or build moderately nice ones. Original cost in 1966 was around $2500. If you adjust that price for today's money... that's a lot of oscilloscope. The scope also came with a cart (no probes in the drawer, I checked). As I was leaving the sale with the scope, a fellow commented that he's paid more for just the cart.
