BARA Membership Application - pdf format
Barry Amateur Radio Association membership has risen steadily since the club formally re-established in 2002.  We are still small enough to be a close knit group of hams, but large enough to be actively involved as a service organization.  Our role in community activities and county emergency communications continues to grow each year.
Our club holds technical and communication training on a periodic basis.  We also participate in local training such as Skywarn and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  BARA is closely tied with Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES).  Many club members are also members of these organizations.  Since we are an Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated club, we take part in ARRL events such as Field Day, Jamborbee-On-The-Air (JOTA), and ARRL online courses (especially the Emergency Communication series.)
There are many opportunities for new members to take an active role in our growing club.  If you think you might be interested in becoming a member, feel free to join us at a BARA club meeting or at our informal club breakfast.  If you would like to bring a completed membership application with you, just download one from this page by clicking here.  Completed membership applications along with membership dues can be given to any club officer.
Membership Dues
Dues are $10 per calendar year for an individual or $15 for a family (spouses and/or minor children living in the same household).
New members joining between July 1 and October 31 will be assessed half of the annual dues. Beginning November 1, dues for new members will apply to the following year.
