New Computer:

  • Computer in the KC8SWR shack now has Ham Radio Deluxe capabilities
  • New computer: AMD 2.1 GHz (single) w/ 2 GB RAM
  • REPLACES: P-III 600 MHz w/ 512 MB RAM was replaced with a new LOANER
  • Now capable of working the digital modes with different "modern" software
  • New screen allows for more room on the bench

  • Band conditions are improving
  • Contacts with Europe are becoming common
  • Lower bands (7 MHz and lower frequencies) are less noisy
