Beacon status: OFFLINE
My power supply smoked!! I have repaired it and am back on the air. I also modified my rig so that I can control the output power. I turned the power down to 5 Watts so that it does not stress the small power supply.
Info about my beacon is available Here.
My beacon moved to 28.239Mhz. It was less crowded there so it can be heard better. I also updated the message being sent.
I had to shove the web page aside. I had a huge exam this weekend and I am working on my house. Hopefully, I can get some time later this week. I updated my Beacon on 28.244 Mhz. It no longer has a 2 minute cycle. It transmits the message continously, separated by 8 "dits" and spaced by 2 seconds. It should be easier to hear it now.
My name is Mike Freeman and I am in the process of building my web site. Hopefully this weekend I will have
something up.
