I am a 40 something year old female who is also a Firefighter/EMT-Basic and Skywarn Spotter as well as an ARES member.I am a tecnician class licensee(for now)looking to General class as soon as I can.I live in the Dayton/Springfield,Ohio area.I finally fulfilled something that I should have done years ago when my grandfather was alive and trying to work with me on getting it.This is dedicated to him and his memory.Wherever he is right now with the Lord....I can proudly say,"I made it!"

Some people have set up a Skywarn/Amateur Radio Chat room on IRC on the EFnet Network.Get a copy of mIRC and connect. On the EFnet server,go to the channel - #Skywarn.It is for hams anywhere to discuss ideas,etc. concerning Skywarn,Disaster stuff,and Amateur Radio Emergency use.Please feel free to drop in.
The 147.225 repeater has been quiet as of late.It is usable,but I have not heard anyone on there lately.(9/12)

The 146.730 CLARA repeater has nets on Monday nights at 8:30 PM on the 146.730 repeater.You will need a 77.0 tone to access their system. Exception in the 3rd Monday of the month when they hold their club meeting.
They also operate the 145.310 machine

The 145.450 IRA Repeater holds a Sunday evening net at 9PM on Sundays. You will need an 88.5 tone to access the system. Also, they have a repeater located on 444.375 (PL-127.3 for main,118.8 for remote site) that they use at times.
