Stuff That Sort of Bugs Me




Personal Stuff

  2. everybody that wants a $lice of my pie
  3. mowing grass
  4. sleeping (it's such a waste of time)
  5. working (it's such a waste of time)
  6. people who zoom past you on the freeway then cut in front of you to make the next exit
  7. when they patch pot holes in the road and don't roll it
  8. road kill it's so messy
  9. crunchy stuff in my egg mcmuffin
  10. when I get french fries to go they lay them on their side in the bag-AND THEY SPILL
  11. the length of time windshield wipers work without streaking
  12. spider brains on burnt toast
  13. roach guts and noodle casserole
  14. mosquitoes, what was God thinking anyway, did he make something that didn't like to eat anything he made before it so he had to keep making stuff until it found something it liked. Walla - the mosquito
  15. speaking of God, all of creation is so complex and ordered, why did he have to make us so we have to poop
  16. people who take fun in hurting innocent animals, (not to mention people) they should be put in the gorilla or bear habitat at the zoo then see who has the most fun





      Work Stuff

      (updated 5-29-99)
    1. floor tile in the lunchroom that's supposed to be orange but some are red

    2. fan blades on display engines that are mounted backwards (from day one that they were put on display too! is that world class or what!)

    3. the new sodium vapor lights (and me on a low sodium diet)

    4. in the restrooms sinks nice cold water in the winter and warm water in the summer... mmmmmmmm refreshing huh?(fixed 5/1/99)

    5. the water leak on one toilet on the dock restroom that's been that way for over two years(maybe maintenance is waiting for a bid from the plumber huh?)(fixed 11/1/98)

    6. constantly having to ask management to turn on the heater blowers when its cold and to turn on the blower system when it's hot

    7. hiring outside people before a tour to paint inside and to sweep and clean warehouse walls and floors (and maintenance & regular workers standing or sitting around doing nothing for hours on end)

    8. when your asked for your opinion or thoughts about something and immediately given condescending and belittling excuses (not valid reasons) why your wrong or your idea won't work - then 6 months later your idea shows up as being a bosses idea "and a good one too!"

    9. having an owner/major stock holder who blindly trusts plant management

    10. plant managers who allow floor management free reign to do whatever they want without question

    11. upper and middle management that aren't smart enough to SEE whats going on and even less astute about asking the right questions

    12. floor supervisors who, when they were workers, were the worst workers in the plant

    13. management that thinks the rules of interaction apply to only the hourly, they themselves are the least interactive when they should be the most (after all they are manage-ment)

    14. management that thinks a team is comprised of people who constantly cover up - fix - repair - correct - the mistakes made by every person that preceeded them even when the mistakes are ongoing and continually made by the same individual over and over - in a real "TEAM" invironment that person would be traded or released

    15. making all the hourly dress the same in order to instill a team atmosphere and salary (especially the women) dress ANYWAY they want (and very unprofessionally if I do say so my self)

    16. management who can spend thousands of dollars on image and presentation to the outside world and tell the people who "WORK" everyday that their compensation is calculated on the "average going local rate"

    17. management who courts customers and visitors by parading them through the plant, feeding them almost gourmet meals, putting them up in the finest downtown hotel and dozens of times each year then allowing the "WORKERS" to have an extra 1/2 hour for lunch for Christmas and doens't lay out a spread for them

    18. salary people who can go to the lunchroom whenever they want or go have a smoke whenever they want anytime during the day and hourly only being able to leave their work areas three times a day and for timed periods

    19. salary who walk around the plant like they are taking a sunday stroll without a care in the world, stop and BS for 15-20 minutes or more, wander around like their lost - and hourly constantly being dogged to hurry up, keep working, come on lets go, we have a lot of work to do today...
