Every year hundreds of people are injured or killed because they do not know how to prepare for the events of severe weather. As an active member of the Dallas County RACES, I will constantly do my part to help save the lives of as many people I can when disaster strikes.

I am not asking you to do the same. I just want you to be aware of what can happen when you are in the path. Below are several links to other web sites that offer you information that can not only save your life, but the life of your loved ones as well.

Check out the links, learn what you can, and remember to stay out of my way when I am having fun chasing the storms away. :-)

If you are in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and you would like to attend a local SKYWARN class session, please visit the Upcoming Spotter Training Class page presented by the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Ft. Worth for a list of upcoming classes.  The majority of the classes take place in the first 3 months of the year.  The later in the year it is, the lower the number of classes are available.
