While upon this earth He was eager to give His
peace that all might have, and that they might
have a greater knowledge of God, and in Harmony
with heaven live.

As He walked with His disciples, of whom were His
most precious friends, He saw the future they had
to face, and the troubles without end.

And it weighed heavily upon His heart, and His
peace He offered to them, and the Holy Comforter He
promised to send to help them have peace within.

The peace He gives, the world knows not, nor does
it understand, for it comes from above from a God
of love who knows our need, and wants to be our
Friend.

Riches or fame cannot obtain this wonderful peace,
and kings know it not. For only by a surrender of
self to our Heavenly King can this precious peace
be wrought.

It is so freely offered, and freely given, but what
a price was paid, when Jesus hung upon that cross,
it was His assurance we need never again be afraid.

So when those moments of despair come, and all seems
dark and drear, let us remember we have a God who will
give us that peace, and is always, and ever near.
