Out of love God came into my restless, seeking heart,
and from this world He set it apart.

He gives me peace from all my cares
and delivers me from Satan's snares.

He brings me joy out of my sorrow,
and gives me great hope for tomorrow.

He is my Friend through thick and thin,
and will be with me till the end.

A Friend, yes, but still my God,
and for Him always, I will applaud.

And as I gaze upon His throne,
I acknowledge Him as our Mighty God, and He alone.

Creation cries out, O, heart be still,
and see the pleasant meadows and yonder hill.

For from God's hands these all derived,
He made them beautiful, and much alive.

Everything for us was made,
and with love He said, "Be not afraid."

These were created for you, and you alone,
to give a glimpse of the beauty of your heavenly home.

So, be faithful, dear child, and look to Me,
and through that gaze you shall be free."

Almighty God, to You, our thanks we give,
and to Your Son, that we might live.
