Cool greetings from Tulare County!

Membership: not much change here.

Events/Activities: CDF Firewatch

Several members participated in the annual Independence Day Firewatch in Tulare County. A big thanks to Dave WA6BEF (net control), Scott KE6ITF, Scott KF6KMX, Ray KF6KMY, Bill KA6HGA, Jim KD5NED and Hal KC5LUB. While on patrol for the fire department, several groups of wonderful fireworks were observed. Communication of other fire activity was maintained and CDF is looking forward to working with the group again in the future. Approximately 88 hours were donated to the department on Saturday July 3rd and Sunday July 4th. A safe and sane weekend was had by all.

Future Events:

Our next meeting will be on the fourth Thursday in August. It will be a bring your own BBQ potluck. The BBQ will be started about 17:30/18:00 at the Tulare County Board of Supervisors Conference Room in Visalia at the park outside. All are welcome to attend.
