If you wish to build your own vertical or dipole antenna enter the center frequency of the range of frequencies you wish to use the antenna on. For a vertical antenna use the values to determine the whip length. For dipoles use the values for both legs of the dipole. Please keep in mind that matching coils or capacitance interfaces may have to be built. The calculated value is just aproximate and SWR should be tested prior to extensive use.
