COMMUNICATION SITES & SHELTERS
Jefferson County is currently installing 11 new locations around the county for amateurs to conduct emergency communications from such as fire stations and shelter sites. On this page we hope to provide a listing of all facilities that are already equipped with amateur radio. If you know of a public facility such as your local fire department or school that has amateur gear like an antenna run or even radios, and you would like it listed here, please write to me, kc5amq. And if your local school does not have a radio club or program and you are interested in getting one started, I can help you get on the right track.
