Ok downloaded iLink and wow it works excellent and Hookup worldwide.Audio quality is fantastic, this is similar to IRLP, but you dont have to have radio access, you can download the software and with computer mic start talking worldwide within an hour or so when you sign on first time they have to verify your callsign and soon as that is done, whole new venue for Amateur Radio is open to you.(By: KCØKJF)
This is one of the neatest things I have run across in a long time. It's great for those of us who are antenna restricted (CC&Rs). Or new or old hams that just don't have the equipment at the time to talk worldwide. And it defiantly solves the problems of linking repeaters anywhere. All this information and downloads can be found at www.aacnet.net. Graeme is always updating this site and the software. The project is still new and growing, every time I look at the list of stations connected I see more rare islands and even some odd sounding towns in the US. I never heard of. So please give it a try. Its fun and that's what its all about, enjoyment, experimentation of new technologies and the promotion of amateur radio.
