Transceivers
The main transceiver used at this station is an Icom 706.  For those of you who haven't heard of this little rig it is an all mode HF, VHF wonder.  I generally run it at 100W SSB,FM and 40 Watts AM.  Power for this rig comes from six 65 Ampere-Hour batteries in the garage that I charge up occasionally with an ordinary charger.

The other transceiver is an Icom T8A triband handheld.  This radio has 6m, 2m, and 70cm, with 5 Watts.

Antennas
A triband copper cactus (J-pole) antenna is used for 6m, 2m, and 70cm work.  This antenna was homebrewed from plans found on the internet.  It is mounted on a rooftop tripod.

For HF work a Carolina Beam 160 Special is used.  This is an off-center fed wire dipole antenna for 160-10m.  This antenna was purchased from Radio Works.

PSK 31 Interface
The PSK 31 interface was built fom a kit sold by K4ABT "Buck" Rogers.  It is isolated on both the transmit and receive lines from the PC and plugs into the IC-706's Accessory port.

Computer
The computer in use here at this station is a Gateway 166 MHz Pentium PC.  Currently there is 32MB of memory installed.
