American Red Cross Logo How Red Cross and Ham radio connect

As a ham radio operator I have been able to help out the American Red Cross - Mile High Chapter with communications for two fires. I helped with communications for a service project in a shelter during the Schoonover fire near Deckers, Colorado. That got me going with the Red Cross so I wanted to help with communications at Headquarters during the Black Mountain fire and got to. Before that my mother KI0DZ assisted in shelters in previous fires and my father KI0OQ did to, but he also did Headquarters. My mother once did incident command. When I get older I want to do more work with them and be more active.
