First QSO

I took the Novice and Technician exams in July of 1998.  I missed two questions from the Novice, and one question from the Technician so I passed both easily.  On Friday, July 24, I saw my station ID listed on the QRZ web site.  I arranged a QSO for that evening with my friend Bill, KA0YKO, at around 7:30 PM.  As we made contact, several other HAMs joined in and this began my new activity as a HAM radio operator.  Here are some of the other stations that I QSOd with that evening:

KF0WW, Don Kabuss
KB0MWG, Bill Coby
KB0TPZ, Marc West
KC0DJH, Mike Arnold

Since that nite, I have met many other HAMs and also gotten involved in the Suburban Area Radio club.  I am amazed at what a helpful community HAM radio operators are.

73's to all who visit this site!

I look forward to a QSO with you on the air.
