IC-2100H Sound Card Interface

This is a simple sound card interface for ICOM IC-2100H 2m FM Transceiver. The transceiver use standard RJ-45 for mic connector. It has external speaker (EXT SP) connector at the back panel where we get the audio output.

To connect the transceiver to this interface, simply use standard UTP ethernet cable. Connect the DB9 to the computer with standard modem cable. You will need to have additional cables that will connect transceiver's EXT SP connector to Sound Card line input. Also, one cable to connect AUDIO OUT from sound card to the interface.

The audio cables need special attention, because the sound card expect stereo connector, while ext. speaker and the interface use mono connector. We can build the cable with one mone jack and one stereo jack. Connect both jack with audio coaxial cable (mono). Only use TIP (outer) portion of the stereo jack, leave the inner stereo jack unused.
