November 22, 1998 Not much to report on at this time. I basically operate an HT from the car and house. This lets me hit the local repeaters and talk to people. I got to work the 1998 Wisconsin QSO Party under my own callsign. I ended up placing sixth place in the Technician Class. Not to bad considering I had a fever, sore throat, and was watching three boys all under the age of 5. :-) I didn't get to work the whole seven hours, plus I was using equipment that I hadn't used before. I plan to work this years QSO Party as well. Hopefully I will be in better shape. :-) |
