This group was set up to host the RtpDir bridge software(Real Time Protocol
Director).
RtpDir is a VoIP software for Amateur(ham) operators. It can also be used
on other bands, Government, commercial and private nets, or direct user to user
without any radios connected.
If a band requires an FCC license, it is the responsibility of the end-user to
obtain one. rtpDir runs on Linux or Windows platforms. NEW FEATURE:
*Asterisk*/app_rpt PBX interface. There are 3 versions: Linux GUI, Windows GUI,
Linux(text mode).

application.

rtpDir is a VoIP software that can run on any station, repeater or
link.
The current version 1.31 runs also as a BRIDGE conference server with a
graphical interface.
rtpDir uses RTP/RTCP protocol.
Configuration choices
========================================
It can be configured to run as Echolink/Echolink conference.
It can be configured to run as Echolink + IRLP with codec GSM or
ADPCM.
It can be configured to run as an IRLP reflector/Echolink
conference
on a specific reflector channel(port) with codec
GSM or ADPCM.
IRLP Links and repeaters, Echolink links and repeaters are also
supported.
*Asterisk*/app_rpt nodes are also supported.
rtpDir bridge now accepts *Asterisk*/app_rpt node connections. Three nodes types will be accepted: *Asterisk*, IRLP, Echolink. The following codec transcoders and protocol converters are built-in: IRLP/gsm ---> IRLP/adpcm IRLP/adpcm ---> IRLP/gsm IRLP/adpcm ---> Echolink/gsm IRLP/gsm ---> Echolink/gsm Echolink/gsm ---> IRLP/adpcm Echolink/gsm ---> IRLP/gsm Asterisk ---> IRLP/adpcm Asterisk ---> IRLP/gsm Asterisk ---> Echolink/gsm IRLP/adpcm ---> Asterisk IRLP/adpcm ---> Asterisk Echolink/gsm ---> Asterisk rtpDir bridge can be used to talk to other *Asterisk*/app_rpt nodes using the radio or the computer mic and speakers.
