Once you have downloaded the files, you will need a program to UNZIP them. Try PKUnzip. Then you will need to edit the HTML files using either a HTML editor or a simple text editor.

Addguest.html


  • Change USERNAME to your QSL.NET username (example: kb9lpj)
  • Change The Mail option to 1 (Yes) or 0 (No)
  • Change The Remote Mail option to 1 (Yes) or 0 (No)
  • Change The Allow HTML option to 1 (Yes) or 0 (No)
  • Change the HTML to the way you like. This is simply a matter of taste. You can do anything you want to the colors and background...

Guestbook.html


  • Change the HTML to the way you like. This is simply a matter of taste. You can do anything you want to the colors and background... Just make sure you put <!--begin--> where you want guestbook entries to start! If you delete this, errors will occur.

Guestlog.html


  • Nothing :-)

When you have both files configured, go to Step 2


Options

Mail

This option allows you to be notified via e-mail when a new entry arrives in your guestbook. The entry will be mailed to you as a notification. 

Remote Mail

Turning this option on will tell the script to automatically mail a Thank-you to any user who leaves an email address. 

Allow HTML

This option allows you to turn on or off the use of HTML tags by users of your guestbook. Allowing HTML in your guestbook means that users can use html tags such as <b> or <H1> or <a href="">...</a> in their comments.
