Field Day 2000, June 24,25

Field day 2000 is fast approaching. This year the event will be hosted by the Tuscola Amateur Radio Club. Debbie, YKK went to their last monthly meeting to help coordinate between the two clubs. BAARC will be responsible for 2 of the 3 HF voice stations, and  VHF/UHF station(s). We volunteered to bring along the polish dogs, and buns. As before Saturday evening we will have a dish to pass potluck. We have heard the comments

that "its to far to drive" look at it this way.. The Tuscola group has had to drive that far the past two years. Keep on eye to the BAARC website for pictures of the site. A map with directions to the site has already been uploaded on the website at the following URL; www.qsl.net/kb8yur/fd200.html . Starting on Friday evening the 145.310 will be linked to the 146.820 repeater in Caro to make communications easier.

As always this event is a fun fun filled time so please DON'T miss a great opportunity to hone your skills in emergency preparedness.
