If you missed the last meeting you missed a great speaker. A gentleman from the Bay City Police Dept was there telling about a program called Citizens on Patrol.
It was suggested by Dean that maybe they could put together a crash course for just the hams to allow us to work with the police.
We could be involved in Search and Rescue of children, Alzhimers pa
tients, etc. And many other things.
I think Dean wanted to just drive the skid car, but what a neat idea. Lets give it some consideration.

who specializes in an interesting topics? We have enough talented people in this club someone ought to come up with some ideas!

MINUTES OF B.A.A.R.C. MEETING 3/9//00
The meeting was called to order by Jan N8TNK at 7:30 p.m. The treasurers report was given by Joe KC8GTZ. Approved by Gene and seconded by John.
Our guest speaker was Tim Wilier who is a Bay City policeman. His subject was on Citizen Police Academy. He gave a slide show and talked about what they do during the training. It was very enjoyable and a fine job.
Dayton was discussed. Some of the members are going to take their vans down and are wondering if anyone would like to go. All you have to do, is buy your own ticket and pitch in for gas. If you would like to go contact Jell at his e-mail address.
Remote site was discussed for extra
coverage. Poly phaser has been installed. The 440 is up and running. The frequency is 444.500 with a pl.. tone of 121.3.
The books for studying for a license were shown and all sold.
Bob KD8TR, need help for the March Of Dimes on April 29. He needs eight or nine people to help him out.
St. Patricks Day parade was discussed. We will be at the clubhouse at 9:00 to load things needed, and then go behind Wendys at 9:30 to decorate the float. Twenty dollars was allocated by John to buy decorations with. Seconded by Gene. John will get the batteries for power.
Field day is June 24&25. It is going to be held east of Caro at a ham operators house. John will be in
