444.500 finally on the air , 31 needs HELP

The call sign KB8YUR was finally heard on the air waves. YES after much waiting and patience from the amateur community the 444.500 repeater was finally keyed up on January 9, 2000. The repeater is a G.E. MSTR II mobile converted for repeater use. Sinclair 6 bay duplexers and a S-Com 5k controller. The repeater is sharing the diamond antenna with the 36, installed on the County building. At the time of this writing we really don't have an idea of the repeaters footprint. The GE is capable of generating 100+ watts (the power supply kicked out at 115) but we have no need to run that much power. As was before mentioned this repeater will be the hub repeater for the National Weather Service System (MICON). It will handle

Someone, who wishes to remain in the shadows, has come forward with the money to purchase the controller we will need to fully utilize the 440 repeater for it intended purpose.
