The Yaesu FT-2400H is a robustly
built 2
meter mobile
transceiver. The heavy heat sink allows output at 50, 25 or 5 watts
without a fan. Transmit is from 144-148 and receive is
140-174 MHz. A 38 tone CTCSS encode board is built-in. You can
selectively call up channels to display by frequency or six character
alphanumeric name. Five scanning methods and 31 memories are available.
The FT-2400H comes with mobile mounting bracket, DC cord and MH-27A8J
backlit DTMF hand mic. The FT2400H and FT-7400H meet the stringent MIL
STD-810 rating for shock and vibration. This radio requires 13.8VDC at
12 amps. (160 x 50 x 180mm 1.5kg)
The Yaesu FT-7400H is the same as
the
FT-2400H, but
operates on the 440 MHz band instead of 2 meters with 35/15/5 watts.
Frequency coverage is 430-450 MHz.
