A 38 tone CTCSS encode board is built-in. You can selectively call up channels to display by frequency or six character alphanumeric name. Five scanning methods and 31 memories are available. The FT-2400H comes with mobile mounting bracket, DC cord and MH-27A8J backlit DTMF hand mic. The FT2400H and FT-7400H meet the stringent MIL STD-810 rating for shock and vibration. This radio requires 13.8VDC at 12 amps. (160 x 50 x 180mm 1.5kg)

The Yaesu FT-7400H is the same as the FT-2400H, but operates on the 440 MHz band instead of 2 meters with 35/15/5 watts. Frequency coverage is 430-450 MHz.
