I CHANGED THE SURNAMES TO SHOW ONLY THOSE WHO WERE BORN BEFORE 1900 OR I KNEW THEY HAD PASSED.  SINCE MY DATA BASE HAS A LOT MORE NAMES AND DESCENDANTS, FEEL FREE TO INQUIRE BY EMAIL ABOUT  NAMES IN WHICH YOU ARE INTERESTED .

Please note. In July, 1998, I found a handwritten note in my mother's writing that Great Grandmother's name was McBrown. The family is listed in a published book with her name as Brown. But do believe my Mother may be right and have started to look for Mary Jane McBrowns

 Net Guide to Links

And some links from my bookmarks    Here is a download site that will help you get a program called Web Ferret up and running.   Web Ferret is an excellent search engine.   Tip of the day.  Put in the search box any of your surnames then the word genealogy..  It will look like this    "Brown Genealogy".  Of course do not put in the quote marks.  Then press enter or find. If you wish to look for a full name as Jim T. Brown, then put the name in quotes followed by the word genealogy as ' "Jim T. Brown" genealogy" '..

The News Groups are different than the World Wide Web.  An excellent search engine for the News is called   Dejanews .

A search engine to find your friend's email addresses or to find college classmates and so forth  is called  four11

For the student of the Internet and Win95, here is a site that will keep you busy for a while while you  Learn about Modems and related stuff.  RECOMMENDED READING.

There is a non genealogy related program I highly recommend.  It is called  ICQ   (I seek You)  It is a Chat room program.
Click on this spot and it will take you to the download site.    ICQ
