I CHANGED THE SURNAMES TO SHOW
ONLY THOSE WHO WERE BORN BEFORE 1900 OR I KNEW THEY HAD
PASSED. SINCE MY DATA BASE HAS A LOT MORE NAMES AND

Please note. In July, 1998, I found
a handwritten note in my mother's writing that Great
Grandmother's name was McBrown. The family is listed in a published book with
her name as Brown. But do believe my Mother may be right and have
started to look for Mary Jane McBrowns
Now for some Links to help you
find your ancestors and there are more on the seminar page.

Guide to Links
And some links from my bookmarks Here is a download site that will help you get a program called Web Ferret up and running. Web Ferret is an excellent search engine. Tip of the day. Put in the search box any of your surnames then the word genealogy.. It will look like this "Brown Genealogy". Of course do not put in the quote marks. Then press enter or find. If you wish to look for a full name as Jim T. Brown, then put the name in quotes followed by the word genealogy as ' "Jim T. Brown" genealogy" '..
The News Groups are different than the World Wide Web. An excellent search engine for the News is called Dejanews .
A search engine to find your friend's email addresses or to find college classmates and so forth is called four11
For the student of the Internet and Win95, here is a site that will keep you busy for a while while you Learn about Modems and related stuff. RECOMMENDED READING.
There is a non genealogy
related program I highly recommend. It is called
ICQ (I seek You) It is a Chat room program.

I have always been curious about "Who am I and where did
I come from and who is God??" . Over the years I
have sought answers. For years I have kept a kind of diary
or recap of my study on the subject. To review some of this
"early thinking" click My Old Thinking For some more recent
thoughts on this subject, and I now believe these are the
answers, click Sumerians
