Ed Hammond, WN1I, was first licensed in ham radio in 1971 and currently holds the Amateur Extra Class License. Ed has worked in the radio field for over 15 years. He is currently the Manager of Amateur Products for the Cushcraft Antenna Corporation of Manchester, New Hampshire. Ed also has coordinated "Ed Hammonds Radio Schools" in which he has instructed in weekend courses for interested candidates. This enables these people to study and acquire their amateur radio licenses in just one weekend. Those that have taken Ed's course often speak of his knowledgeable and sometimes humorous instruction techniques which have enabled them to succeed in their efforts. Thus far the pass rate for these classes has been approximately 95%. Ed's love for amateur radio is apparent and his authoring of "Ham Radio, Your Ticket to Worldwide Adventure" is in Ed's words "A dream come true!" He has been excited to share his enthusiasm of the hobby with others and hopes that this book will spark the interest that he has had in this wonderful hobby for others to explore!
