The Club uses W7IUC, Norm Leggett's
repeater
on 146.670- (pl 110.9) in the lower Keys, in Marathon we use ND7K, Chuck
Grey's repeater on 147.105 (no tones) and also the County's, click
Map for all repeaters and frequencies.
FKARC monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM.
The meetings are alternated between the
Monroe County Library Conference Room on Big Pine**
(on even
numbered months) and the Marathon Public Library Conference Room (on odd
numbered months). Often there are demos on interesting topics.

The club was
established in March, 1989, and is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League
(ARRL), a national
organization, and is an ARRL Special Service Club. Our Iota is NA-062 &
Grid square is EL-94, and several
members are active on 6M & 2M ssb, HF and various digital modes.
The club has
averaged from 25 to 68 members each year with some of our members living here
all year and others spending only the winter months. Club membership dues are
$20 per year from January through December with a
reduced amount for the first year when a member joins after mid-year. Dues are
waived for licensed amateur radio operators under the age of 18 years.
Many of the club members are also members of the Monroe County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) and they assist the Monroe County government during emergences.
