Well, I have decided
to update my WebPages here at QSL.NET.
After a long time of being away from it, perhaps I can find out how to
do this stuff again. Many friends of mine have come and gone, and some are now
silent keys. I will be updating
this website over the next few little weeks, so
hopefully, it will be interesting reading again. One statement that still remains the
same as it was before is what I had on here 10 years ago…
With
that let me say to you that you have come to the right place if you enjoy the
world on a wire. One person of my family retorted not too long ago,
that if the Lord were to call me home, that I would say.... Let me make one more call on my rig..... I would say that they know me pretty good too...
Now enough of that.. This statement was made in 1998, and
around 1999.
Now
a little about myself.... I am 53, was indoctorined
into commercial radio at a young age. Got out of radio in the mid 70s and went
into doing other things. The radio never left me tho,
and the love of radio was there still. Got my Novice ticket in the
spring of '81, and enjoyed running C.W. every evening after work. Got my
tech ticket in the fall of the same year, and have been enjoying it ever since. Now I am an Extra, and I did it before
the code was collapsed into 5 words per minute, then given up completely. My Elmer was my biggest fan, and also my
biggest helper in all things. I
just wish I could have done more for him before he became a silent key.
Yes... this was me.. in 1998 . without glasses.. Since then
I have
got older and my stache is gone, but I’m still
going,
and the
AKS still stands for … Always Keep Smiling
