*** A Work in Progress ***

Thank you for visiting my web site!

If I have a Mission Statement, It's this site is not for everyone. There are plenty of places, on the Web, where you can find pages full of links to nowhere. I prefer to cater to a small segment, in our hobby, who have interests similar to mine. As the page develops it will lean toward Hollow State technology. I think of this page as a condensed version of My Favorites.

As time allows I will be adding content that I find interesting. Most of the new stuff will be geared toward home-brew and repeatable projects.

If you have something to add, or a suggestion, please drop me a line.

Coaxial Baluns

The first section is devoted to some of the work performed by George Badger W6TC. The original two-part series titled "A new class of coaxial-line transformers" appeared in the February and March 1980 issues of (HR) Ham Radio Magazine. I have seen bits and pieces of George's work spread all over the Internet with little credit and no direction. I felt a proper presentation would be a fitting tribute to W6TC.

I am presenting these article in DjVu format to save server space. For those who don't already have it, the DjVu plug-in can be down loaded for free.

While Surfing the web looking for information on Antenna projects , I came across some sites with very helpful information. Although this information is readily available, it's not always easy to find. Hope this saves others some frustration.

The second section covers some sites with BALUN/ANTENNA design and construction information.

Free Manual Down Loads

Many expensive and hard to find Radio and Equipment Manuals are available to down load for free. These links cover some sites where you can find a wide assortment. From the oldest to the latest and greatest.

HD-73 Rebuild Project

Danh, KE6D, posted a page on rebuilding the old Alliance HD-73 Rotator. Comes complete with pictures. If I had seen this before I took my 73 apart to clean, I would have missed all the fun of picking up the bearings from my basement floor.

Telescopic Masts

A Good place to pick up that 20' to 50'+ Telescopic Mast you've been looking for, at an affordable price. Page includes Installation, Guying, and Safety Instructions.

VanityHQ

Michael Carroll, N4MC, put together a great site for Vanity Call information. Makes finding and applying for available Vanity calls a snap.
