The NCPARC Story The Nassau County Police Amateur Radio Club was founded in 1993 to bring together the members of the professional public service community in Nassau County, New York, who shared an interest in amateur radio. Members are licensed amateurs and non-licensed enthusiasts who share this interest. We operate a repeater on 444.8875 MHz that is available for all licensed amateurs to use. We also operate this web site, along with participation in the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. NCPARC is affiliated with the ARRL. Our members come from active and retired members of the Police, Fire Marshal, E.M.S., Police Auxiliary and Sheriff's Departments of this county. Other members of the Law Enforcement community who reside in Nassau County may also join. Family members are also are welcome to join. The recent addition of a new controller to our repeater, will enhance the range of options available to our members .
