Hi Folks, my name is Walter Crossley I am married to a very lovely lady whose name is " Sherry " who also became a ham when I did and her call is KA1JOW. We live on Turnpike Road just outside of town on a side hill over looking mountain scenery. Sherry and I have three grown children two of which live in Vermont and one in Ohio with a total of eight grand children and keep busy with their activities.
I was born in Winsted, Connecticut but have lived here in Thetford, Vermont for most of my adult life. After graduating from high school I attended College and then I spent two years in the United States Army at Fort Ord California. I then attended Anesthesia Training where I received my formal education in Pawtucket, Rhode Island at Memorial Hospital. I then went on to work as an Anesthetist for 33 years and I am now currently retired. My hobbies are hunting, fishing and Maple Sugaring along with Ham Radio. I became a ham in 1982 and I am currently an Advanced Class Amateur Operator and enjoy DXing, ragchewing, antenna building, analog and digital SSTV. Currently I have spent a lot of time learning how to make 3D pictures using my digital camera and graphics software. I then send them on the Ham Radio Bands to other hams who also enjoy the same interest.
My wife and I also enjoy traveling and cruising and have traveled extensively throughout the world and have many fond memories and with good luck, many more to come.
