MILFORD AMATEUR RADIO REPEATER ASSOCIATION

(MARRA)

KB1CBD/r  146.925 MHZ. (-600) PL 67

Eels Hill,  Milford CT.

            Mission Statement

MARRA provides Auxiliary Communications to partner agencies in the event that regular
communications systems become over-loaded or fail.

MARRA owns and maintains a local coverage amateur radio communications station
(the KB1CBD Repeater) that is supported by its members, a cadre of trained Amateur
Radio Emergency Service (ARES) communicators with FEMA IS-100, 200, 700, 800 certifications.

           A Brief History

MARRA was started in 1976. It was originally housed in the Board of Education
building on Eels Hill with a single radio to support Civil Defense communications.
It has enjoyed a long and positive working relationship with the Milford Fire Department
             over the years.

Today, MARRA continues its mission of Public Service Communications and has
installed a new 2 meter Yaesu Repeater (January 2015) with an output of 20-50 watts.
MARRA is co-located with its sister club the Coastline Amateur Radio Association on
            Eels Hill in Milford, CT.
