Sadly, WAØNOV, Jim Gates, Jr. passed away this year. It has been a rough few years for the Gates family.

Congratulations to KØCY, Bob McCaffrey. Bob became the new ARRL Iowa Section Manager on April 1, 2013.

2012

On November 17th, we were sad to hear that long time Boone ham, WØTYY, Jim Gates, had passed away. Jim was Ed George's father-in-law and was known for the amplifiers that he built. Our sympathies go out to the Gates family for their losses.

We were also sorry to hear that long time BARK member, KAØNII, Ed George, passed away on July 6th. Our sympathies go to the family.

KØGVN and his wife were killed as the result of a car accident on Saturday, June 16th.
Our condolences go out to the family. We will miss him.
