Hi All,
This
month's meeting will be held on Oct. 11, starting
at 7:00 PM, and located at Station 26. We will have
a brief review of this year's Simulated Emergency
Test, or SET, followed by our CPR, AED refresher
course.
On
the subject of the SET, it will be held on the afternoon
of Oct. 1.
This is the ARRL's annual assessment of how well
ARES/RACES is functioning.
We
in Kirkland will be activating the fire stations,
and the ECC and using as many modes as possible
to pass traffic. Try to bring along contact information
for someone who is located outside this area (family/friend)
that we can use as a destination for a test health
and welfare message. Perhaps the person you would
want the real thing to go to in the event that we
have a real event here.
We will use our local call out procedure to begin
our phase of the exercise, so have your copy handy.
