Kirkland ARES Goals.
1. To provide the city of Kirkland with effective back-up communicators trained in the latest voice and digital modes of relaying information in a timely manner.
2. Continuing education and training.
3. Demostrate the proficiency and versatility of amateur radio to the community at large

"The Mission of the Kirkland Amateur Radio Emergency Service Team is to provide the city of Kirkland with an independent volunteer-supported communications system. This system will supplement Fire Department and other systems normally in place. It is activated by city authorities in the event of local or area-wide events requiring additional communications capability. While communication within the city of Kirkland has priority, contacts with other cities, counties and the state of Washington will also be provided as relevant to the event."
