Welcome To John Camm's QSL Web Page!

Look! It's a nerd with a old digital camera! My callsign is KA8ZPF, and I hope you enjoy my page as much as I did creating it. Let me know if there are any problems. I will attempt to keep this page current, informative, and fun.

For those busy people with no time to spare, I can research the internet or sell items on Ebay for those who are not computer friendly. I may charge a fee for my time, which is worth the same as money to me. For more information, you may contact me through email at [email protected].

Currently, yours truly has two part-time jobs, both of which I thoroughly enjoy. I work as a salesman for Universal Radio, and as a substitute teacher for Fairfield County and Columbus Public Schools. However, I am still looking for full-time work within an hour's drive of my current home at Buckeye Lake.

Let's Go Bucks!

Born a third generation fan of Ohio State, I graduated from The Ohio State University in the last class of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering. From football to basketball, or baseball to hockey, if the Buckeyes are doing well, I will be watching and keeping up on my hometown's success with pride.

In the spirit of being a buckeye, I also belong to the Amateur Radio Club of The Ohio State University. Their callsign is W8LT, and I am proud to have helped rebuild that organization. I attend meetings when I can, which is tough when you live an hour away, but I still keep in touch. I currently hold an Amateur Extra License obtained last year, as well as the GROL for commercial radio use.

Ain't this the one of the cheapest setups you've ever seen!Since I am a radio salesman, I have some insight into the radios currently sold by the major Amateur and Shortwave Radio manufacturers. However, I am still a young HAM and do not profess to be knowledgeable beyond recent model radios or recently discontinued radios. I often refer people to EHAM.NET where you can get reviews of equipment from other hams. I currently own an Icom T7H, a Yaesu FT-817 with miracle whip, and a cheap dipole for normal operation. I only occasionally get on the air on 2 meters in the Columbus Area, and on 20 or 40 meters at convenient times. I can set a time to try contacting fellow HAMs and weekend evenings (Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) are best for me.

If for any reason you need to contact me, such as setting up a contact on the air or problems on the page, email me. It can take a couple of days for a reply, but I will get back to you. Thanks for seeing my QSL.net page. Good Luck!
