KA6QZU Jim Grey

My wife Darla, KA6YEG, and I are licenced as General class amateurs.
I currently serve as Chief Officer of the Moreno Valley ACES/RACES, and participate in the LDS ERS group.

I am the proud owner of a Yaesu FT-897D, and use it everywhere, mobile, portable, and as a base station. I also have an Icom IC-735 (and, yes, it has the little plastic door). I own a Yaesu FT-530 Dual Band Hand Held. This is a great old HT that does just about everything that a FT-8800 mobile will do, including dual receive, full duplex, and crossband. I also have Yeasu FT-50 and FT-60 ht's, and even the Chinese Wouxun Dual Band HT.

Before coming to Moreno Valley, I belonged to the San Bernardino Races/ACS, and associated Ham club C-Bar-C for many years.
In years past, I have belonged to the Long Beach ARALB club (and L.B. RACES), Palos Verdes ARC,
and the LDS Mecury Amatuer Radio Association.
