March 1998 South Texas PIO Report

                             Media Traffic

I have received no reports from any of you regarding media hits or any news
releases sent to the media.  Please let me know how you are doing!

PIO Martha Underwood (N2VRF) was the winner of the January QST Cover Plaque
Award for her article "Tornado!" which described ham radio activity in the 
wake of the Jarrell tornado.  Congratulations!

                              Recruitment

Two new PIO's signed up in the past month with another on the way!  Please

                          Electronic Communications

The ARRL's PR department has set up a mail reflector for individuals to
discuss the promotion of Amateur Radio.  To get on the mail reflector send
email to Jennifer Gagne at jgagne@arrl.org.  Once you sign up the address of
the reflector is pr@arrl.org.  I do not have any information on how to sign
up automatically.
