Charles has just retired after being an electronics technology teacher.  He is also a technical writer. He is the co-author of Basic Television and Video Systems, 6th Ed.; Published by Glencoe McGraw-Hill in 1999. The ISBN number for the book is: 0-02-800437-X.  Charles retired from Tulsa Technology Center for Applied Science, Research, and Technology, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has been actively involved in video, audio, and 2-way radio service for many years. He was the holder of an FCC First-Class Radiotelephone License, He now holds the FCC General Radiotelephone License. He was an electronics technology and telecommunications teacher for 35 years. He taught many areas of electronics. He Operates HF, VHF, and UHF, he has been involved in satellite operation. He has encouraged and helped many students enrolled in electronics and telecommunications technology obtain their amateur radio license.  He is a volunteer examiner for ARRL and W5YI as well as a commercial license examiner. 
He is a member of the American Airlines Amateur Radio Club and the Tulsa Amateur Radio Club. 
His wife and three children are also licensed amateur radio operators.
