-
- For over thirty years, a
group of amateur radio operators have
- provided communications for the medical
staff during
all football
- games at Tiger Stadium. Whether it's cold, hot, wet, or dry, these radio
- operators are there to
see that the fans
are never more than a
- transmission away
from help if the need arises.
-
- After many years of just being
called "the ham radio operators that work
- the ball games", we have
formed an organization to give ourselves
a
- name and
callsign for our
repeater.
-
- Our duties at the games are quite
simple - we provide communications
to
- coordinate patient transfers
between the stands,
first aid
- stations, and trauma center.
-
- Membership in the organization is
simple - just work the games.
- There are no dues, paperwork,
or other requirements.
-
- If you would like further
information about who we are, what we do, and
- how to get involved, click on the
"contact us" link on the left. It takes at
- least 25 amateur radio operators to
provide the coverage needed so
- there is always room for more!
