URA-28 SSB Exciter

URA-28 EXCITER
Here we have a O-672/URA-28 SSB exciter and the associated power supply as purchased by the Navy. Some will recognize it as a TMC 2 exiter, which covers 2 - 32 mhz, and offers USB, LSB, AM, AND ISB (both sidebands at once) at about 200 milliwatts. Needless to say, it is intended to drive an amplifier such as the PAL-350. This unit can be xyal controlled, or driven by a VFO such as the TMC PMO-5. Two audio channels are provided, one for each sideband. A little complicated to set up, this rig cannot be characterized as "frequency agile".

Don't have this one on the air yet, but have hopes to find time someday. It would be an interesting rig to operate.
