CV-116

Finally, a FSK Demodulator using vacuum tubes. The CV-116 is a dual-diversity converter, usually employed with two R-390A receivers. This is a FM demodulator, which uses the 455 KC IF output from a receiver, detects the frequency shift, and converts the same to serial data via current loop. The CV-116 also attempts to compensate for drift with an AFC circuit, which mechanically tunes the TU to the incoming frequency. Interesting to watch it work.

Believe it contains about 60 tubes - puts out lots of heat for a cold winter's night. One day I'll put it in a rack, with two R-390A's, and watch it do it's thing.
