This is where you can get QuickTime software and the QuickTime Plug-in.

All you have to do is choose your platform!



QuickTime Plug-In 1.1.1 for Macintosh

NOTE: Version 1.1.1 fixes problems with hidden movies in Netscape Communicator 4.0

The QuickTime Plug-in lets you view QuickTime and QuickTime VR content directly in the browser window. (QuickTime VR capability is now part of the QuickTime Plug-in file.) The Plug-In and Component requires QuickTime 2.5.

QuickTime 2.12 & QuickTime Plug-In 1.1 for Windows 3.1

The QuickTime Plug-In lets you view QuickTime content directly in the browser window. You must have QuickTime 2.1.2 installed to utilize the QuickTIme Plug-In. Please review the Read me included in the download for detailed information on installation and set up.

You will need to download the following two items.

Download QuickTime 2.1.2 (Run the installer after downloading)

Download QuickTime Plug-In (extract and place the file (NPQTW16.DLL)in your Browser Plug-In Folder)


QuickTime 2.12 & QuickTime Plug-In 1.1 for Windows 95/NT

This download provides you with one installer for QuickTime 2.1.2, QuickTime Plug-in. Please review the Read me included in the download for detailed information on installation and set up.

After You Have Downloaded The Software

First, (if you are a Mac user) you will need to make sure you have software to unstuff the installer. The program you will need is Stuffit Expander, and should be available for free from popular web sites like www.download.comor www.shareware.com.

PC users should not have to do this because their files are self-extracting.

The software you have downloaded will not install itself, so you will need to launch the application so it can do its work: Installing QuickTime for you.

After installation and the self test takes place, you should be all set to view QuickTime Movies.
